Our First Official Week!
All of the staff here at Perth Cat Hospital were thrilled to finally open our doors on Monday the 15th of February. What a fantastic first week it has been! We have been so spoilt, being showered with flowers and gifts from colleagues and clients. We thank you ever so much for making our opening week extra special.
After completing all of the final touches, we were ready to start welcoming our patients. A very special mention and thank you to our first ever patient, the beautiful “Ridley” and her lovely parents.
We have been fortunate enough to meet many new kitties over the past week who have given us their loud purrs and head butts of approval, including the stunning “Seamus” and “Daria”!
It has been wonderful to see these kitties enjoying the benefits of a cat only hospital. Even those cats that have previously been a little nervous about making the adventure to the vet have been a lot calmer without the sounds and smells of dogs. At 14 years young “Lilly”, for example, was sure happy to have found a place she feels relaxed for her routine examination. We all know how important this is in being able to provide the best medical care to our feline friends.
A massive thank you to everyone that joined us for our Opening Day Celebration on Sunday (thank you for giving up your Sunday sleep-in!). It was so wonderful to meet you all and we hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to take you on a tour of the hospital we are so proud of. From the comments we received, it seems that the cat hotel will be a popular destination to “holiday”.
Thank you again to Delish Ice for supplying the yummy gourmet ice pops and Pedalling Beans Coffee for providing the amazing coffee. We are sure impressed that your voice held out Madison Tapley, you did an amazing job of providing the musical entertainment all day. Our TV star “Beli” was cool calm and collected over the day, lapping up all the attention – a true celebrity! Claire Harmer managed to capture some wonderful moments from the day, including many beautiful photos in front of our exquisite mural by Rahalie of The Velveteen Rabbit Art. We have posted her photos in our Celebrate PCH Open Day album on our Facebook page , don’t hesitate to share the album and tag yourselves!
The Cat Haven bought along a few little feline stars of their own hoping for adoption. Two lucky kitties were fortunate enough to find their forever homes, both being adopted by loving families. We wish them all the best in their new homes.
Finally we would like to wish a big congratulations to Kayla Hayes who won the raffle, kindly donated by Nosh Gourmet Food and Gifts.
