About Dr Leah Keating

Associate Veterinary Surgeon BSc DVM MANZCVS (Medicine of Cats)

Dr. Leah graduated from Murdoch University in 2019. Having always adored cats, she remained strongly dedicated to feline medicine throughout her university studies, completing multiple placements with the team at Perth Cat Hospital and set her sights on joining the team someday!

She commenced her career working in emergency practice gaining exposure to the treatment of urgent and critical care cases before proceeding to general practice here in Perth, focusing on always providing her feline patients with the special and unique care they deserve.

Dr. Leah is the fur-parent of a very sassy British Shorthair called Ivy and the pair enjoy regular harness walks throughout their neighbourhood together. As well as her love for felines, she enjoys an active lifestyle of running and playing football and is also a certified reformer pilates instructor!

Dr. Leah enjoys all aspects of feline medicine but her special interests lie with feline behaviour, emergency and critical care and infectious disease. She is passionate about ensuring the needs of cats are understood and met and ensuring every vet visit is as stress-free as possible for them so that every cat has access to the medical care they deserve.
